1. Last week I spoke about the consequences of being “in Christ”.

2. And the possibility of having the blessing of God but not enjoying the fruit.

3. I also realize that it is possible for a person to desire to walk with God and not know how?

4. An ancillary question, “If God can do anything, what’s missing?

5. FAITH! God works with our wills. He created us to fellowship with Him not to control.

6. Why is “faith” so important?

7. Faith is the currency of God. (REASONS It is how we appropriate the blessings of God.)

1- Faith is the Access Key to Eternal Life

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, … I Timothy 6:12

1. Faith Enables Us to Receive Forgiveness and Live in it

Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

2. Faith Justifies Us and causes us to Feel like it

Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

3. Faith Brings Us Peace and enables us to enjoy it

Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2- Faith Keeps us in the Fight (Not easy as some suppose!)

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, … I Timothy 6:12

1. Faith Gives us Patience (endurance)

James 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

2. Faith is a Spiritual Shield

Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

3. Faith Stops Us from Being Shipwrecked (Shipwreck is not like a flat tire!)

I Timothy 1:19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

3- Faith Makes us More than Conquerors

1. Faith Makes Healing Possible

Luke 17:19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

2. Faith Brings Victory (Make “everything” possible)

Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

3. Faith Enables Us to Please God

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
